Wolf Eyes
Michigan noise group formed by Nate Young in 1996, later a duo with John Olson.
Nate Young began Wolf Eyes as a solo project in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1996. Aaron Dilloway joined in 1998, and John Olson — previously of Universal Indians — in 2000, forming the lineup that carried the group through its mid-2000s signing to Sub Pop. Dilloway left in 2005, uninterested in extensive touring, replaced by Mike Connelly (2006–2012) and later Jim Baljo (2013–2017); Young and Olson have continued as a core duo since. The group has released extensively through Olson’s own American Tapes and Dilloway’s Hanson Records, and recorded Live Frying (2014, American Tapes) with Merzbow.
