Waldorf Microwave XT

Waldorf's wavetable synthesizer, reviving the PPG Wave lineage with an extensive knob-per-function interface.

Begun as a rackmount PPG Wave project by PPG staff before the company’s 1987 closure and finished at Waldorf, the Microwave (1989) and its knob-laden Microwave XT successor revived wavetable synthesis for a new generation — Waldorf itself describes the line as reviving the spirit of the PPG Wave series.
