Voltage control
The general paradigm of using varying voltages to control synthesizer parameters continuously.
The paradigm of using a continuously varying voltage — rather than a fixed setting — to control a synthesizer parameter, making that parameter itself something another part of the instrument can modulate. This idea, independently arrived at by Robert Moog and Don Buchla in the early 1960s, is the foundation modular synthesis is built on.
