Steven Stapleton's label, founded to release Nurse With Wound and related experimental music.
Founded by Nurse With Wound’s original members to release their own records, United Dairies put out the group’s early landmark albums — Merzbild Schwet (1980), To the Quiet Men from a Tiny Girl (1980), Insect and Individual Silenced (1981), and, in an initial pressing of 5,000, Homotopy to Marie — before John Fothergill’s departure left Steven Stapleton as sole curator, a role he has held ever since, extending the label’s catalog to Current 93, The Lemon Kittens, and Volcano the Bear.
