Recorded by Evan Parker, Derek Bailey, and Han Bennink in 1970, Topography of the Lungs launched Incus Records as its very first release and stands as Parker’s debut recording as a leader. A 2023 repress on Parker’s own OTOROKU label, transcribed and restored by Andreas “LUPO” Lubich at Calyx in Berlin from an original pressing in Parker’s archive, gathers the original liner notes alongside a new note Parker wrote in 2014.
