The Art of David Tudor (1963-1992)
New World Records' 7-CD retrospective box set, the first comprehensive survey of Tudor's work as a composer.
New World Records’ seven-disc box set is the first comprehensive survey of David Tudor’s work as a composer, tracing his arc from his first composition, Bandoneon! (A Combine), through his long collaboration scoring for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, recordings made in the Pepsi Pavilion at Expo ‘70 in Osaka, two extended binaural recordings of Rainforest IV with Composers Inside Electronics, and a complete hour-long 1992 performance of Neural Network Plus with Takehisa Kosugi on live electronics — one of Tudor’s first ventures into computer music.
