Created in 1983 by Felix Visser with product specialist Marc Paping and designer Bert Vermeulen, the Syrinx is a rare semi-modular monophonic synthesizer featuring a metal touch-plate and a formant filter — only 75 were built, used by Martin Gore of Depeche Mode and Aphex Twin.
