Sydney Alonso
American engineer, co-creator of the Synclavier at Dartmouth College.
Sydney Alonso developed computer-controlled tone-generation technology at Dartmouth College with programmer Cameron Jones, work that became the Synclavier; the two co-founded New England Digital in 1976 to build it commercially.
