Serge Modular Music Systems
Serge Tcherepnin's company, selling low-cost modular synthesizers designed at CalArts from 1973 until 1986.
Founded by Serge Tcherepnin to sell the modular synthesizer system he developed with CalArts students Rich Gold, Randy Cohen, and Rex Probe from 1972, Serge Modular Music Systems sold synthesizers under the Serge name until 1986, prized for offering a flexible, low-cost alternative to contemporary modular systems.
