Princeton Computer Music Center

Princeton's own computer music studio, built around Godfrey Winham and Paul Lansky's extensions to Max Mathews' MUSIC language.

Growing out of Princeton’s side of the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center partnership, Godfrey Winham, Paul Lansky, and J. K. Randall built out Princeton’s own computer music studio around the university’s IBM mainframes, extending Max Mathews’ MUSIC IV into MUSIC4BF — work that deepened Princeton’s direct collaboration with Mathews at Bell Labs.
