Developed at UC Berkeley’s Center for New Music and Audio Technologies (CNMAT), Open Sound Control (OSC) carries arbitrarily structured, high-resolution control data over standard network transports — a more flexible, if less universally supported, alternative to MIDI’s fixed message format.
