Oberheim Electronics
American synthesizer manufacturer founded by Tom Oberheim.
Founded by Tom Oberheim in Santa Monica in 1969, Oberheim Electronics built the SEM, DMX drum machine, and the programmable Xpander and Matrix-12 synthesizers before its 1985 bankruptcy; Oberheim regained rights to his own name in 2009 and resumed building instruments under the brand.
