Green Wheels
Merzbow's 1995 album of pure, unadulterated noise built from synthesizers and handmade instruments.
Recorded and mixed at Merzbow’s home ZSF Produkt Studio in March–May 1995 and originally released that year by Self Abuse Records, Green Wheels is an uncompromising cascade of synthesizer and handmade-instrument noise — nails raining on metal plates, synthetic bombing, industrial percussion, and its title’s rolling, scraping “green wheels.” Urashima’s 2021 double-LP reissue, limited to 299 copies, adds two previously unreleased bonus tracks from the same sessions.
