Forbidden Planet
Louis and Bebe Barron's 1956 score for Forbidden Planet, the first entirely electronic film soundtrack, first issued commercially in 1976.

Louis and Bebe Barron’s score for the 1956 film Forbidden Planet, built entirely from custom electronic circuits driven into feedback and decay rather than any conventional instrument — the first wholly electronic film soundtrack, credited on screen only as “electronic tonalities” for want of a musicians’ union classification. The score went unreleased commercially until this 1976 LP.
