Fairlight
Australian instrument manufacturer, founded 1975 by Peter Vogel and Kim Ryrie.
Founded in Sydney in 1975 by Peter Vogel and Kim Ryrie and named for a Sydney Harbour hydrofoil, Fairlight built the Fairlight CMI, the first polyphonic digital sampling synthesizer, on a dual-6800 microprocessor platform created by Tony Furse.
