
Wolfgang Palm (b. 1950) founded Palm Products GmbH (PPG) in Hamburg, building modular synthesizers for Tangerine Dream from the mid-1970s before pioneering wavetable synthesis — storing successive single-cycle waveforms in adjacent memory slots — most fully realized in the 1981 PPG Wave 2.
