Time Machines

Coil's 1998 album of sustained electronic drones.

Coil’s 1998 album of sustained electronic drones, each track titled for a psychoactive compound and intended to suspend the sense of time. Recorded largely in single takes with minimal post-production, the album was made on an ARP 2600 wired to a Synton Fenix, both supplied by Drew McDowall (the Fenix’s exact generation — the original run or the 1997 Fénix II revival — isn’t confirmed).
