Repo
Incapacitants' 1989 vinyl debut, an uncompromising noise record for its time.
Pressed in only 300 copies on Alchemy Records in 1989, Repo is an early, uncompromisingly direct Incapacitants statement — piercing high frequencies and distorted texture on Side A, pulsating beats set against dissonance on Side B — released years before collage-based approaches became common in noise. It is also a rare document of Incapacitants as a solo project: at this point the group was still Toshiji Mikawa alone, and Repo stands as his last album before Fumio Kosakai became a permanent member roughly two years later, making Incapacitants the duo it has been ever since. Urashima’s 2023 reissue was remastered by Lasse Marhaug.
