American composer and Buchla synthesizer pioneer, best known for Silver Apples of the Moon.
Morton Subotnick is an American composer and co-founder of the San Francisco Tape Music Center, whose close collaboration with engineer Don Buchla helped shape the modular synthesizer — most famously realized in his 1967 work Silver Apples of the Moon.
