Iannis Xenakis (1922-2001) was a Greek-French composer and architect who, before turning to music, worked with Le Corbusier and co-designed the Philips Pavilion for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair — the building for which he composed his early tape piece Concret PH, alongside Edgard Varèse’s Poème électronique.
