Government Alpha is the ongoing noise project of Tokyo musician Yasutoshi Yoshida, active since 1992 and released chiefly through his own label, Xerxes. Albums including Alphaville (1999), Sporadic Spectra (1999), Artificial Pomegranate (2003), and Venomous Cumulus Cloud (2007) sit alongside a run of international split releases: Saturday Night Groove Sessions with Jazzkammer (2002), Radiation Snowfall with Bastard Noise (2003), Planet of Fluctuation with MSBR (2003), and Das Methadonprogramm with Azoikum (2005).
