David Rosenboom
American composer and pioneer of biofeedback and brainwave music, longtime Dean of Music at CalArts.
David Rosenboom (b. 1947) is an American composer, performer, and educator who since the late 1960s has been a pioneer of integrating biofeedback and neurofeedback into music composition and performance — attaching electrodes and monitoring devices to performers so that brainwave, temperature, and galvanic skin response data could drive the electronic systems he built. He led the Herb Alpert School of Music at CalArts as Dean from 1990 to 2020.
