Buchla & Associates

American synthesizer manufacturer founded by Don Buchla in 1962.

Founded by Don Buchla in 1962, Buchla & Associates built the 100 and 200 series modular systems that defined the “West Coast” approach to synthesis, distinguished by complex-waveform oscillators, touch-plate interfaces, and sequencing rather than the keyboard-and-filter conventions Robert Moog established on the opposite coast.
