Andrew Cyrille is an American free-jazz drummer, a longtime collaborator of Cecil Taylor, known for a rhythmic language built from timbre and space as much as pulse. He played drums on Mal Waldron and Steve Lacy’s The Mighty Warriors: Live in Antwerp, recorded during Waldron’s 70th birthday tour in 1995.
