American synthesizer manufacturer founded by Alan R. Pearlman, active 1969–1981.
Founded by Alan R. Pearlman as Tonus Inc. in 1969 and soon renamed for his own nickname, ARP Instruments built synthesizers including the ARP 2500 and ARP 2600 before going bankrupt in 1981.
