American engineer, founder of ARP Instruments.
Alan R. Pearlman (1925–2019) was an American electrical engineer who worked on amplifier design for NASA’s Gemini and Apollo programs before founding Tonus Inc. in 1969 — renamed ARP Instruments after his own childhood nickname — going on to design the ARP 2500 and, with engineer Dennis Colin, the ARP 2600.
